Aligning with UN SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set out a holistic approach and areas of focus. We recognize their value ensuring a sustainable, resilient and inclusive future in which no one is left behind, During our strategy review process this year we identified  eight (4) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that we can positively impact through our work.

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all.

Through our internal strategies we support the good health and well-being goal through:

  • promoting and protecting our members’ health and the others around our community by raising, conducting, and sponsoring community events that aim to raise the awareness of the importance of good health.
  • Ensure all employees and members have continued access to safe drinking-water, sanitation, and hygiene. (Sub target 3.9).
  • Implement the flexi working hours scheme, that gives our employees the opportunity to have a good work-life balance.
  • Employees are given access to medical insurance, which in turn promotes good health.

Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning.

We ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning through providing the following services and programs:

  • Our training centre provides quality education and skills development to different segments with special focus on women development and activities.
  • Mentorship and support to startups and small businesses allowing them to gain more knowledge and expertise through our board of consultants.
